Here’s Why You Should Never Use Your Phone In A Toilet! After Reading This, You Won’t Do It Again!

Many people take their phone with them when they go even to the toilet. However, this is very bad habit because unintentionally you transmit germs on it, and by doing that you can transfer them even to the close ones. For instance salmonella, E.Coli can be easily transferred in this way. This is what hygiene expert Dr. Lisa Ackerley says regarding this issue: “If you wipe your bum, then get your phone, you may as well not trouble cleaning your hands since all the germs you place on your phone will wind up back on your hands.”

What can we do about this?

According to Dr. Ron Cutler, director of biomedical science degrees at Queen Mary’s University London, Basically, you just shouldn’t (take your phone into the toilet) if you are at all concerned about the transfer of viruses and fecal contamination.”However, the levels of contamination vary from the location of the toilet and at which place is situated. Namely, a small office is not a problem, but a hospital or a cruise ship is a problem because viruses are more circulating in those places.

It is important to know that viruses do not move solely by hands, there are also other ways. According to Dr. Ackerley: “Spray could travel around six feet from the flush.”Therefore, do not place your tooth brush close to the toilet, or leave your phone on the nearest rack or on the toilet roll. Likewise, the germs have the ability to survive up to a couple of days on the phone you use every day. The expert Dr. Ron Cutler says: “Phones heat up a little bit providing bacteria a great warm environment. If people handle sweets and leave a sticky covering on the phone, that’s an even better place for germs.”

For all these reasons, make this a habit, wash your hands with soap and water and put the phone in your bag before going to the toilet.
