Strict Parenting Leads to More Successful Children

Are you one of those child that was raised by strict parenting style? Were you one of those kids that every day was reminded that first you need to do the homework, clean your room, and focus on the future?

Back then you might have thought that your life is hell, but in fact research studies suggest that those children are more successful in their life and have better self-esteem then others.
After reading this article you will definitely want to thank your mother again for the way she raised you and the strict approach she had.

Here is a study on strict parenting:

The University of Essex Erica Rascon conducted a study which found that those people that are successful had strict parents and highly demanding mothers. This study involved more than 15.000 children between 13 and 14 years old. The study was conducted from 2004 to 2011.

Children with more demanding and strict mothers were more secure and confident, and had higher expectations than others. The research also found that the prematurely pregnancies were reduced by 4% by strict mothers.

On the other hand children with more demanding mothers increased the chances of finishing a college and getting a decent job. Also the study concluded that strict and more demanding mothers have more successful children than others.

The fact that children always do what their parents think it is right to do supports the thesis and conclusion that strict parents have more successful children. Children always try to avoid what their parents advise them to do, but by being strict they will learn to respect their opinion and hold to it.

During the teenage years children see their parents as their number one enemy, especially their mothers. You don’t need to worry too much about this because later in the life you will be happy for being like that.

Once you turn adult you will recognize and value the efforts of your mother for raising a successful child. Most probably you will adopt the style of raising child when you are adult.

Tell us what your opinion about this study is, were your parents strict when you were teenager?
