Fake Olive Oil Companies Revealed – Stop Buying These Brands Now!

Highly disturbing truth! Olive oil sold in our stores is fake! 70% of Olive oil is replaced with cheaper low quality oils! Terrible!

Olive oil, known for its great health benefits available in our stores, seventy percent of it is fake. It is a known fact that olive oil is highly beneficial for our health, and for that reason most of us buy it and consume. However, this need for olive oil is misused by our largest manufactures of olive oil.

Namely, seven of the biggest producers in U.S. are actually cheating on us as they do not sell 100% pure olive oil, but they are cutting it with cheaper oils like sunflower or canola oil. All this is done so that the production costs are reduced, and the profit remains the same. Business is business, but not when our health is concerned, especially if we buy something that is branded as olive oil we ought to consume the original product and not something else.

Unfortunately, the situation is same in Italy where in 2008 over 400 Italian police officers participated in a huge operation called “Operation Golden Oil.” It was discovered that 85 oil farms were actually adding certain percentage of chlorophyll to the cheaper oils like sunflower and canola oil which were sold as“extra virgin olive oil”. Before it was being sold to the producer, the oil was mixed, perfumed, coloured and flavoured. These incidents urged the Australian government to conduct their own investigation, where it was found out that none of the so called “extra virgin olive oil” available on the market pass the 2012 certification as pure olive oil.

As a result of all these scams the University of Californiaconducted studies on 124 imported brands of extra virgin olive oil where it was discovered that over 70% of the samples failed the test.

Here below are the brands that did not pass the test:

You can test your olive oil at home if it is pure or not

Simply put the bottle of the olive oil in a fridge for 30 minutes, if it does not solidify, then it is an indication that the oil contains a large amount of monounsaturated fat which is a main compound of extra virgin olive oil. If on the other hand, it shows signs of solidification then the oil is fake. This is not an exact test, but it is a good indicator especially if you are not certain of the quality of the oil.Other certifications of whether the oil is extra virgin oil are the official governmental seals of approval on the label, like“Australian Extra Virgin Certified” and “California Olive Oil Council Certified Extra Virgin.”

We have to be very careful when these products are being consumed as they are considered as very healthy, and most of us consume just for those reasons. It is time to make a stand against the profitable corruptive industries that use GMO’s, chemical additives, or other unhealthy alternatives, after all our well-being and our children’s well-being it is the most important thing in life.
