The longest living women record in the world is held by Japanese women. They have been holding this record for the past 25 years, and their life expectancy is 84!
Apart from the fact that these Japanese women live longer compared to any other women in the world, they also look young and seem like they are resistant to the natural process of aging. In fact, this article will reveal the secret for having longer life and beauty.

Naomi Moriyama, a Japanese writer, wrote a book “Japanese women don’t get old or fat” in which she revealed all the secrets to Japanese recipes and remedies which help them to remain young looking and healthy.

Traditional Japanese cuisine is the secret which prevents aging, health problems and weight loss, claims Moriyama. She also claims that regular consumption of fruits, fish, seaweed, vegetables, rice, green tea and soy contribute to the weight management and prevention of aging.

Japanese consumes homemade meals which include soup, fruits, grilled fish, rice, vegetables and green tea. It is evident that Japanese people love consuming fish and in fact they consume 10% of the entire fish consumption in the world.

Moriyama writes in her book that Japanese children are thought the rules of healthy diet since their young age, which includes teaching them to appreciate the food and consume it slowly. They separate each food for consumption and they are not allowed to fill up their bowls. In fact, Japanese cuisine is simple and requires steaming or grilling the food.

Every meal has rice as a side meal which is used as replacement of bread. This is actually the biggest difference between Japanese and western habits.
Also they consider the breakfast the most important meal which needs to consist of plenty of foods and drinks such as soup, fish, omelet, seaweed, tofu, young garlic, steamed rice and green tea. They almost never consume sugar foods. On the other hand women are extremely aware of the negative impact of sugar over their health.

At the end of the book the author stresses out the importance of regular physical activity, and she concludes:
“Exercise is a part of the daily routine in Japan and in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, they built an entire culture of biking, walking and hiking.”
