Recipe for the Best Healthy Ice Cream: Coconut and Turmeric Sorbet!

This recipe will do good to your body and morale. The wonderful benefits of coconut and turmeric are combined with the pleasure of getting a delicious dessert. The coconut is very rich in antioxidant electrolytes, therefore is excellent for cardiovascular health because it reduces the cholesterol. Turmeric is a medicinal spice: having anti-inflammatory, anti-stress, and antioxidant properties.

In short, the combination of both is a treasure of health benefits. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of coconut milk
  • 1 cup of coconut cream
  • 1 cup of raw cashew nuts
  • 3 tablespoons of pecans
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger and
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground cardamom

Preparation

Start by soaking the nuts in water for two hours, then drain. Mix all the ingredients together in a blender and then place the mixture in the freezer overnight. The next day mix again the frozen mixture, decorate it with pieces of nuts and serve!
